A class in minimal leverage manipulation - from the world's expert

LAURIE HARTMAN'S MASTERCLASS

27th - 28th April, 2024

About The Course

Prof Hartman has spent over 50 years as one the UK's premier osteopaths.  He has threatened to retire on numerous occasions in the past, but we have managed to get him to agree to one more course!  This, therefore, is a genuinely rare opportunity to learn from the master.

Over his years in practice, Laurie made it his mission to develop precise, safe, effective techniques for manipulation of every possible joint, and has lectured across the world on the topic.  Few, if any, can equal his skill in applying high-velocity thrusts.

The expression "minimal leverage" is possibly inaccurate, although we use it here because it is the most widely understood description of this method of working.  In fact, Laurie will show you how to incorporate a multitude of levers, so that the movement itself is tiny, and the stress on the patient minimal.

You can expect very personal supervision - the maximum number Laurie is prepared to teach is 24 (ie 12 students working at any one time).  He is also very responsive to student queries, so if there's a particular technique that you have trouble with, he'll willingly demonstrate how you can perfect it.

I had an amazing time! Meeting and learning from Professor Laurie Hartman was an honour. The venue, food, snacks were amazing. Very well organised and Steven was brilliant too. I'm so happy I found APM. University days were very traumatic, but with APM I really feel a sense of support and community. I can be open to ask for help. Being on an in person course post covid too, really good to meet individuals who are going thru my struggle, balancing work, children, exercise. I would definitely recommend APM to any osteopath/chiropractor.

Inspirational and very dynamic. I never felt disengaged during the two days of learning, and despite having sacrificed a weekend to do this I’m nothing but happy to have gone through with it. Congratulations to Steven and the APM team for the excellent work. There is a strong sense of community very rare to find. Bravo!

Rocco

I not only learnt some new structural techniques, but the course also helped refine techniques I already know and use. The emphasis on minimal leverage for safety reasons was welcomed. It was a boost to my confidence having found myself naturally growing towards 'minimal leverage' in my technique over the years. I'm doing something right!

Trevor

I've attended many different courses in the UK and abroad, and APM has definitely been the best so far! Steve and the whole team are lovely and highly professional and APM's facilities are perfect. Laurie Hartman is a highly renowned, if not iconic, osteopath, ready to share his incredible experience in the field!

Fabio

The course was well balanced between theory and practice. I appreciated the fact that we were not overwhelmed with lots of techniques, but only some very good ones. The student to lecturer ratio was very good allowing everyone support during practice.

Alex

Every manual therapist would benefit from the teachings from Professor Laurie Hartman. Experience is everything and he really has seen it all. Invaluable if you value improving your skills to be a more effective and efficient practitioner.

If you get the chance, and they do seem to be getting slimmer, to see Laurie Hartman in person, then you must go. You will learn valuable pointers to improve your techniques; easier on you and softer and less hard for the patient.
