Originally trained as a primary care physician in the British military (Royal Air Force), Mike now principally devotes his clinical time to the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal pain, particularly myofascial pain syndromes. In 2010 he was listed by The Times as one of Britain’s Top Doctors.

He is currently the medical director of the British Medical Acupuncture Society’s teaching clinic, and in this broadcast discusses the mechanisms behind acupuncture’s effectiveness, the evidence base, safety concerns and the role of dry needling in your clinic.
