Dr Malcolm Kendrick is one of the original members of the Centre For Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford. He is a practising GP, and is famous for his stand against the cholesterol-heart disease hypothesis. Although he has a particular interest in cardiovascular disease, he is a firm believer that much of what occurs in modern medicine is very far from evidence-based, and some of it actually harms patients.
